Dear Teacher:I am Toby. Thank you for your concern to the students who sufferred from this disaster! Indeed, I have never thought there could be such a heavy earthquake in my hometown-in such a stable plain!
Here , I just tell you all my feelings since the earthquake broke out. When the earthquake broke out,I am in the street in ZiYang, not far from ZiGong. I just saw so many people run out their working place,but just few hours later I found that the whole city was in mess!I began to call my parents,but resulted in nothing. I got axious and directly ran back to the station to catch a bus back home! When I arrived my home town,what I felt was just wondering if I was in a dream.All the houses in the street were collapsed.People are living in their own simple earthquake shelf which was made after the earthquake and their beds were just made up of a few wooden planks .That night I could’t sleep until the next morning. Early in the morning we just got up to collect the staffs under the collapsed houses,especially the remained food! Day after day we just repeated the job,followed with more and more aftershocks!You could imagine how a person could be like after the test of life and death and have to bear the threat of aftershocks! Around my hometown, the news of death came from to time and the plugged lake would burst at any time!
I don’t know how long will this situation last, but I believe our chinese people will overcome the difficulties with the help of both chinese people and foreigh aids!
